Summary:  Our client is seeking 4 Business Analysts to join the Solutions Center group within the Project Management Office. This position supports large corporate projects and is responsible for identifying the business needs of project stakeholders to help determine and implement effective solutions to business problems.

Specifically, the Project Analyst is responsible for development and management of business requirements. The Project Analyst elicits, systematically analyzes, validates and documents business, organizational and/or operational requirements. Once requirements are identified, the Project Analyst facilitates the collaborative identification of solutions by business and technical staff based on business needs. Solutions often include a systems development component, but may also consist of process improvement or organizational change.
The Project Analyst supports the successful implementation of identified solutions through the related functions of business process engineering, coordination of testing activities, issue resolution and implementation support.
 

Responsibilities:

1.  Management of Business Requirements: Apply strong business analysis skills and Priority Health business expertise to elicit, analyze and document business requirements using advanced techniques and structured analysis. Drive customer prioritization of requirements and manage requirements throughout the project lifecycle. Specific functions include:
Elicit requirements using a variety of techniques (interviews, business scenarios, surveys, brainstorming sessions, prototypes, etc.)

  • Analyze current workflow for gaps and additional requirements. Document current workflow if documentation does not exist.

  • Analyze feasibility, prioritize, scope and document requirements

  • Use basic conceptual/logical data and process modeling techniques to identify and clarify requirements

  • Communicate with customers and technical team using data and process models to clarify and validate requirements

Business process engineering: Utilize commonly accepted enterprise process improvement tools and techniques to model current and future state business processes, incorporating appropriate audits and controls. Obtain consensus on effective and sustainable future state process from all stakeholders. Identify process gaps and recommend improvements. Document and communicate business processes in the form of process maps, policies and procedures. Perform above responsibilities in coordination with Enterprise Process Improvement staff.

3. Testing coordination: Coordinate activities related to unit, integrated and accepting testing for corporate projects to ensure timely completion of these activities and adherence to the project plan. These activities include:

  • Project planning for testing phases

  • Development and approval of testing strategy

  • Management of test plan execution

  • Development and administration of testing scenarios that represent the business functions of the organization

  • Utilization of reporting tool skills to perform ad hoc queries for analysis, problem solving and verification of test results

  • Tracking and reporting test metrics

  • Resolution of testing issues.

    This role also ensures testing adheres to established QA standards through compliance with the Priority Health project lifecycle and all established testing and quality procedures and documentation standards.

4. Business Impact Analysis: Assist with the concept development phase of the project lifecycle by leading impact analysis to evaluate the impact of a specific project on other Priority Health business processes.
