Required Knowledge/Skills:

Bachelors degree in Information Systems or related field -or- 10 years equivalent work experience is required.

8 or more years of business analysis experience.

Experience in gathering requirements, functional design, and documenting business processes.

8 or more years of experience in facilitating evaluation of business requirements for business application integration, service activation, delivering new or modified software systems enhancements.

8 or more years experience performing within the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Proficient in MS Office including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Visio.

Must be able to create detailed charts and graphs and work with pivot tables.

Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communications skills

Candidates selected for interviews, will be required to supply a representative sampling of their work in the form of business requirements and memorandum directed to senior management. The samples provided must have been written within the last 12 months.

This individual shall be organized and detail oriented.

Experience with web-based and mainframe technologies.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:

Compuware Optimal Trace experience preferred.

Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP) or other business analyst certifications are a plus.

Experience in software vendor relationship/management activities.

Experience in Financial Industry / Banking applications (e.g. lending applications, Treasury Management, check processing, retail banking applications).

Opportunity: Revenue Cycle Application Specialist

Location: Detroit Metro Area

Summary : Our client is seeking a Revenue Cycle Application Specialist who has functional, operational, and some technical background with Hospital Revenue Cycle Software Application experience.

Responsibilities and Duties:

System Administrator for our core billing application - ePremis a Relay Health Product.

Act as liaison between Patient Financial Services and Information Technology.

Collaborate with ancillary revenue generating departments to resolve issues and problems that have an adverse affect on the production of clean claims.

Work with director and managers to establish and plan priorities for future information needs.

Maintains a thorough knowledge of available products, evaluating the potential value of adding those products that would be beneficial to the revenue cycle.

Collaborate with Information Systems and the interface team to ensure the billing flow is working appropriately and that it is maintained.

Responsible for development of test plans, implementation and training for Host system upgrades, system interfaces and enhancements.

Develop and maintain knowledge of the Receivables Workstation. Assist PFS management staff when necessary to communicate and implement needed system changes.

Participate with management in resolving problems and issues identified and presented by the PFS team.

Facilitate systems training of staff on host system and billing applications. Develop and maintain necessary training tools.

Perform additional tasks as assigned by the director

Required Knowledge/Skills :

Bachelor's degree in computer information curriculum, business or clinical area preferred or equivalent professional level experience

Patient Accounting system specialized training; typically offered application vendors.

3-5 years Patient Accounting or system knowledge

Experience with configuring Patient Accounting Applications: Meditech, Siemens-Invision, Siemens-MS4 and HBO-Healthquest hospital applications

Experience with hospital facility and professional billing

Experience in working within a system development life cycle environment

Ability to develop test plans and perform and/or coordinate testing for system upgrades and/or other programming changes
